Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

In response to week 5 narrative document, I created a script based on the synopsis and bullet point treatment. Though the story might be shorter than the previous treatment and synopsis due to revisions and consultations with lecturers. I decided that it is best to shorten and simplify the story for now in order to advance further. I used “Final Draft 11”, the film screenwriting application format to write the script because it is my most recognised technique due to my background in film production.

I have recently learned that creating a short story in animation, it is not crucial to obtain the three act structure that are used very often in film narrative. Instead of following the three act structure, I decided to jump right in the middle of the story where the two adventurers found the cube. There is still a goal visible here in the story, which is the cube. How I establish to the audience that the goal is the cube is through Mise En Scene of the

The two adventurers goal is to obtain the cube but their only obstacle is each other. They know only one of them will obtain it but with the cost of their relationship. Even though there is no need of a beginning, middle, and end, there would always be a ‘stake’ in the story. In order for them to get their goal, their relationship between each other is at stake.
