-A young children staring at the display window

-He saw a big tiger stretching

-Seeing the tiger’s sharp teeth, the child asked his mother in fear

-The tiger answered him lazily

This week, I extended the story discussed in class. I did character design, thumbnail drawing via procreate.

The two lines I chose are“If the tiger gets out, will it eat us?” and “I’ll never work in my life. ”

The story is:

In the zoo, a child is observing a sleeping tiger. He asks his mother, “If the tiger gets out, will it eat us?” This lazy tiger replies,“No, I’m tired. I won't go out! I’ll never work in my life!” The tiger is not an official employee of this zoo. He sneaked in the zoo in order to sleep all day and free food.

By using thumbnail, I show the main line of the story. In addition, I adopted a painting style similar to ink painting , which makes my work more personalized and unique.

Since I am not good at drawing, I refer to Uncle Buer Ma's cartoon: Fat Tiger(as shown in picture3). In his work, he draws many comics of cute tigers in different poses, and also made a series of mystery boxes of it.

By examining the lecture Showing the inside From The Outside again, I reflected the idea of showing character’s conflicts by their outside. By thinking this, I feel that the characters in my work need more details and metaphor to show its dramatic.
