This week, I wrote a story about freedom and flight with an open ending.
In the first and second weeks of study, I deeply understood the meaning and purpose of writing a story. So I designed a new story based on characters, places, and events. Through this week's research, an open ending was designed for the story.
The same thing was "Inception," which Nolan produced. The end of the film is an open ending, and there are still a lot of arguments about the end of the film ever since its release.
I enjoy the process of creating an open ending because there's no definite ending, so there's a lot of possibilities, and the story gets more exciting and more prosperous. I also look forward to future study.
Story
The story takes place in a strange country, where people never go out in the daytime, and the hero of the story lives in this country. No one ever told him why he couldn't go out during the day. He followed his family's instructions and went out only at night. One day, he received a picture of the daytime sky, which aroused the hero's yearning for the daytime world. After a struggle, he finally left home one day with a picture and flew to the blue sky in his paper plane, thus feeling the freedom he had never experienced. But in the end, he collided with a real plane and fell off the paper plane. The picture fell out of his pocket and into another person's home. I first thought of this story because I saw my classmate is making an origami airplane, and I remembered a book called Little Prince. I was impressed with the pilot inside, so I added this character to the story. I want to tell you through this story that if you follow the rules, you may be able to live in peace, but the more wonderful things in the world may not be able to be experienced. But if you choose to break through yourself, you can feel a completely different world even if you pay a price.
