I still chose light as the theme, this time I was thinking of mountains illuminated by sunlight. So I decided to add a scene graph for the hilltop city in my set.

When thinking about the theme of light, I first thought of comfortable sunlight. And, I hope to turn this comfort into a narrative and bring it to others. Then I thought about the city in the game setting created by me, so this time the painting was improvised based on my imagination of the hilltop city in the setting.

In the process of drawing, the photographic works and the hilltop city of Lhasa in Tibet were referenced. The narrative that this painting wants to express is to let the vast scenery affect people's moods. I hope the audience can see such a vast picture and feel comfortable. In general, what it does for animation is to make the landscape design become a narrative way.

Isabella Tabacchi is an accomplished landscape photographer (Tabacchi, n.d.). And I referenced her images in the process of drawing, especially the colour of the sunlight in her photos. Most importantly, her photography can change people's moods. I am struck by these expansive scenes every time I see her work. For further development, I hope to make the scene in my game setting into a real 3d scene so that I can enter that place and experience it. Then in those grand scenes, the characters act and tell the story.
