Animated Narratives - Week 10

Bullet point: 

• A man looks forward to the noodles on the table, and the noodles smell delicious. 
• He picked up the chopsticks and took a bite. 
• He was stunned. The noodles were so spicy that his face turned red
• Fire erupted from his mouth. 
• He started looking around the house for water to drink. 
• In the kitchen, his roommate had just made a cup of coffee, blowing gently and waiting for the coffee to cool.
• Just then, the man ran into the kitchen and took his roommate's coffee and took a slug.
• The man felt like there was a big bang in his mouth. 
• Finally, he crawled slowly towards the refrigerator, filling his mouth with ice cream. 

This week's theme is movement, and my premise is "A man looking for water everywhere after eating spicy noodles." This work examines ideas of the exaggerated movement to highlight dramatic effects, and I created a storyboard to show the drawing style.

A similar animation is "Afternoon Class" <https://www.youtube.com/> created by Seoro Oh. This animation uses exaggerated movement to show that the character is sleepy. It is just the little things in daily life that become very interesting through animation processing.

Animation dynamics has always been an aspect that I hope to study in depth. I have gained a deeper understanding of using exaggerated dynamics or metaphors to make the storytelling more enjoyable.
