In week9, we explored the topic of light. At first I planned to go deep into my storyboard, but after thinking about it, I found that this week’s theme can also be applied to my storyboard.
Through the way of mind map, I considered the possibility of adding light effects to my storyboard. I thought about the possibility that the light source might come from, besides the sun, it might also be the light from God. And there is a role of God in my story, so I thought about the meaning of the existence of light. Why should there be light? The meaning of light? Where is the light source? Based on these important words, I came up with a picture of light! That will be the reason that guides the villain to the goal, and it is also a key element for the last light to resonate together.
The same work appeared in Shine-Animated short film (2016) uploaded by Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg on youtube. He demonstrated the application of light effects to animation, highlighting the emphasis, guidance and resonance of the light source.
In my mind, the story board is very mature, and the addition of light sources can definitely make my story and scene related to the end. I also look forward to seeing my final product!
