Animated Narratives, Week #1, Goldfish makes a sun rain in desert

Character: Goldfish

Location: Desert(the original location was the sewer, but I changed it)

Action: Blow up a balloon

This week I am responding to the character/Action that are given at the end of class.

By using a four-frame comics I show a story about a goldfish.In the hot desert, a goldfish want to move to another nice and comfortable pond.So he blows up balloons and hit them into the sky with his tail, creating a solar rain.

Another related work is Wang Ze’s work Old Master Q. In this work, he tells a complete story through four concise shots.

By examining Fawaz Ramzi’s paper keywords for comics studies, I reflected that a story has one or more climaxes, which needs more effort to describe in detail. With this in mind, I feel that my comics should not evenly distribute the area, but need to highlight the second and third shots to make the work more attractive, individual and dramatic.
