Animated narratives Week 1, Semester, 2022

This is a story about a dove-mafia who is a hostage of the current situation in his life. He is forced to engage in crime and placed in aggressive decadent environment. This work examines ideas of absolute subordination of man to environment conditions. 

Being a victim of threats and poverty, he follows the orders of such gang leaders as Big Wing and Sharp Feather. On my thumbnail storyboard I showed the scene when Big Wing is calling to send main character to find the stolen suitcase of money in the pigeon strip-club (sunflower seeds are equivalent of money). Passing through numerous obstacles and crime dramas, he tries not to turn himself into monster.

I am very inspired by adult cartoons in dark comedy genre. I love combination of rising dramatic deep topics with soothing it down through black humour and absurdism. 

My work is the similar to work “Bo Jack Horsemen” - that tackles many problems in a mature, profound and amusing way. It includes excellent analysis of human nature, mental health and question of redemption.
