This work examines ideas of how an albino hedgehog survives in a wild forest full of predators. By using fluid moving frames while this white hedgehog goes through the forest first time to find his latest back family at night, I focus on how he acts while meeting his predators who were described as dangerous and sly. This work is similar to the work The Little Horse Crossed the River[1](Children short story. The Little Horse Crosses the River. Сказки на английском) This story conveys a theme of "no matter what others say about one thing, you should use your own head and try it yourself". Similar work also exists in the animation Hedgehog in the Fog (Short 1975) - IMDb [2]. By examining children's picture books published by POPLAR[3] in recent years, I reflected that horrible plots from fairy tales like Grimm‘s are abandoned, and I am concerned that it's because of the evolution of society and better conditions supplied by governments for children's growing-up. Thinking through this, I decide to change the plots when the protagonist meets each predator, and he has the chance to make new friends with predator-befores' babies.

Reflection on the course:

For this first weekly course of Animated Narratives, I had been through the concept of what are stories? Why do we tell them? And the unique capabilities of animation.

There are three particular components that fit together to create stories: characters, place/location, and action-driven by the characters. There are also Intentions from the protagonists, which lead them to find resolutions to conquer the obstacles in the stories. After several animations had been displayed in this course, we discoursed those elements within teamwork and applied them effectively to our short narratives. I like Wind the animation the most, as it has multiple layers from politics and climate-changing issues that make me think deeper than just its concise graphics are shown.

The reason why we tell stories is they affirm who we are. We all want affirmations that our lives have meaning. they can cross the barriers of time, and allow us to build a connection with the similarities between ourselves and others. Animation has its unique traits that other media art could not achieve. As it has limitless story options and easier to express metamorphosis and so on.
