This character drawing examines the relationship between light and environment storytelling in my studio 1 project. By using gradient blue lighting in the scene, I am able to unfold a unique setting that refers to the Danish twilight in summer. This lighting proposal is similar to the works of That Game company, which produced several healing-vibe games with bright light bouncing from clouds and soft-warm light generated by candles. They are mainly natural light. By examining Sky from the above game company, I reflected that light should help the players unconsciously expect what they might experience in the scene. Thus I decided to shift the light in my studio 1 project from a realistically dark but gloomy one to a brighter and hopeful one. A moonbeam cycle also provided a gentle moving shadow that bring the scene to life.
