Week4
This work examines the idea of narrative structures. This topic means we could create a conclusion and use character or actions or places in the narrative and think about the narrative structures and frames.
The idea I had was “The toy ballerina looks in her master’s direction and becomes a no life toy again,” There was a princess called Loti, she loved dolls and toys. When Loti was a child, she had a favourite ballerina toy. Loti always brought her and took her everywhere, eat together, play together, dress together. However, as Loti grew up, she got lots of other toys, all kinds of toys, and she built a toy room in the castle and called the room Toys’ Kingdom. So Loti did not touch her favourite ballerina anymore. Actually, all the toys started to have life when the Kingdom was built. The ballerina felt lost and sad, because her favourite master did not love her anymore. She feels jealous and wants to get her master back. So she did lots of wrong things, such as breaking and destroying other toys, and hiding masters’ loved toys. All the other toys got mad, trying to teach her a lesson. Finally, she found that she did these wrong things but nothing happened. Princess Loti did not mention her and touch her even once. She felt despair. Those other toys know the ballerina is not a bad toy, just lost herself in jealousy. They decide to help her. They hold together and use their power to help the ballerina get to the throne of the Toys’ Kingdom. Therefore, Princess Loti will see her immediately when she gets into this room. As expected, Loti mentioned her previous toy ballerina again and the memories came back. They played for the whole day and stayed together. When the day finished. Loti puts the ballerina back to the Toys’ Kingdom, the ballerina looks in her master’s direction and becomes a no life toy again. Because her wish has already come true.
I got inspiration from the movie "Toy Story." made by Pixar animation studios.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nVRj7Jr0G) This animation shows Toys have a deep desire for children to play with them, and this desire drives their hopes, fears and actions. That is the inspiration I got.
I was inspired by this short film, about how to make a toy ballerina alive and found out her story. I try to give a conclusion “The toy ballerina looks in her master’s direction and becomes a no life toy again” and think about this topic. Why she looks at her master, why she becomes no life toy. How does she get life? These thoughts help me to create this story.
