Animated Narratives 2022 S1 - Week 4

This week's theme is about 'storylines'
My story was 'He proposed again, but the girl opposite said in horror, "Please, don't love me"'. After the class, I saw a lot of interesting examples.

The man is a madman, he fantasises about everything, in his world no one will reject his proposal, everything is sweet. So the man proposes to women he has never met before, because in his world there is no rejection.

When I drew the storyboard I needed to show that fantasy, so I drew the proposal and the proposer as the same two people in a fantasy world. After the fantasy, it was time to start again with the appearance of the character, so I drew the character dressed in a rather bizarre way.

'How to build a fictional world' is a talk from Kate Messner in which creation in the context of a fictional world is explored. It inspired me so much that I made the fantasy in the story even more fantastical.

Through this week I have learnt how to build a rich story, with ups and downs and twists that are all part of the structure a good story should have. I will do more exercises in my free time to ensure that I can create a complete and interesting story smoothly!
