Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity
Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

This week were looking at ways of generating narratives from a range of different sources, data, interactive processes and generative methods for example. This week we practiced some interactive forms.

The premise of my choice is "When a person blinks, the sun blinks, and the world goes dark".

This week I created two concept arts of this premise. I want this game to be a survival game. In the game, the sun is an evil monster. When the sun opens his eyes, he leads people to it, and if the person being sacrificed does not have enough offerings in his hands, the person is devoured. When the sun closes its eyes, humans need to quickly find the offering in the dark so that the next time the sun opens its eyes, it can be sacrificed.

My inspiration came from the artist Peter Köhler, here is his website: (https://www.peterkohler.se/). His work is full of interactions between people, animals and other substances. He often uses roads to guide the viewer through the beginning and end of his work. His work is full of storytelling, interactivity and magic.

Over the past few weeks, I've never been challenged to draw some concept arts to express my ideas. This time I think I can express it this way because it is more visually impactful. I experimented with different colors in the two paintings to exaggerate the contrast.
