Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

This week I tried out different art styles for the main character, which would be the slime. Sawitee(2018) reckons that style is a ubiquitous aspect of the design of both graphical and physical objects, usually more readily demonstrated by presenting an example of the style than by describing the style in words. I was inspired to test out different art styles when I saw the art style challenge on Instagram. Through doing so I was able to finalise the designs of the slime while also testing out other variations as well. I try to keep the designs as simple and adorable so that it would be accepted by most age groups. The art style for this project was inspired by an artist on twitter, Illusbyjo.

After I had a discussion with my other coursemates, I found that the cuter style was more acceptable as it would feel more calming and fitted to the storyline.
