AGI1 Studio - Character Design

I created this character Trent, a humanoid chameleon who is a snob for craft beer, culture and conversations of high intellect.

I do not draw much outside of pretty females and superheroes, so drawing a chameleon was a welcome challenge. I was inspired by a video of an artist painting with her chameleon wrapped around her hand, and decided to create a character that reflected this artistic reptile.

Procreate is becoming second nature for me to use, especially when drawing characters and creating different atmospheres with lighting. I was looking to create a sharp, mysterious aesthetic with the directional lighting and strong shadows.

what I want to explore further in still artworks is exploring backdrops and backgrounds, and practicing making landscapes and settings for my characters.

i also want to continue animating these characters. I could take Trent and have a loop of him smoking his cigarette or swigging a beer.
