  1. Today I will basically do some thumbnails and make the first draft of the storyboard, ideally to look at more related works to develop more on the cinematography language.
  2. Developing more on emotional and atmospheric effects on storyboarding is shifting from my first intention, which was only about animate images, without any thinking the true rationale. I think I need more thinking about my rationale and develop further today.
  3. Lists: brainstorming. Thumbnails. Story lines.

Rationale 1.7 ver.

When watch a movie, or a game trailer, I typically like the scene while characters have dramatical emotions which could get me engaged and excited. I believe this is the same for many people. I have been research for cinematography language in animation. Unlike to live actions, animation is not editing afterwards, everything is planned and composited in storyboarding stage, therefore the storyboarding could be crucial and significant for further processes. In storytelling, the emotional effect and atmospheric feelings can give big ideas for audience and get their attention. The use of cinematography language in animation can get impressions, keep the story rhythm well, and give memorable moments, as well as in establish the relationship between characters.
