DAY 3 Today’s List of things to do:
- Get the follow camera working to target each tower individually.
- Research a bit about Split-screen and multiplayer in Unity
· Code the input of two different mics to control the different towers.
· Arrange UI two a two player UI.
- End of Day what was done:
· After seeing that the camera wasn’t following the player individually, because of the asset that I was using that is Pro Camera 2D for unity, to follow the player I made a few tests to see if I could make it work but the code couldn’t distinguish which player was making the input at the same time and that was making it switch.
- At that moment I was not understanding how to make the camera follow the player individually so I used my own camera controller script to help me do that, but that made me realize two path that I can take my game in, if to make Split screen or to take to be use in individual screens and be played that way, trying to figure that out and talking to Chris and better situated my game to be split screen and how can I develop the level to fit that mechanic, I came into the realization that I had to reverse engineered my game so I could be split-screen.
- I started to code the game making each value separate in the game Manager making the game manager handle all of that by naming each value for player one and the other values for player two.
- At the end it I couldn’t move forward it was more a of I got stuck and I hate everything that I’m doing (unproductive day) situation I called it a day, to where I was in the code and left it for the next day.
