Method: Cut up a storyboard I did earlier in the week and slapped it into AGS, so I could rapidly prototype more fades/zooms/pans/vfx/interactive segments. Same as the past few days, basically.
Outcome: So, uh, today's work was definitely not rapid. While I got the basic blocking and timing done, and fixed up some code that was making transitions glitchy, I didn't venture all that much into making visually new things. Got the sliding door working, at least. That's cool.
Anyway, rather than start up a whole new prototype scene tomorrow (like I've done in the past), I think I'll continue to refine this one. See if I can make the zoom more fluid, have panels move around a bit more, maybe sketch some more frame-by-frame animations for the relevant cutscenes... that sort of thing.
