Oculus Quill
- Quill is a program that was developed for the emerging market of VR that enables the user to paint in a 3D space that takes the traditional painting aspect in a more fun and unique way to create an artpeice.
- This program is a very innovative tool for artist at their disposal. Not only this program does painting in a virtual space but you can also animate a world that you seem fit. I believe this program is such a big help for digital artists and animators to explore in making a unique world and to be able to take story telling to not just in a 2D space but as well as a very engaging experience.
- Quill can provide a prowerful way to tell a story. Goro Fujita is an artist who took this program and embraced it to create his beautiful 2D pieces into 3D with the same style ( cartoon or childrens book illustration ).
Ilya Kuvshniov
- An artist that combines japanese anime style and realism that I admire. His works can be seen as someting that fuses two artstyles into his own which I want to achieve. The way he creates his artworks are very inspiring and learning his techniques can heavily benefit artists that want to achieve a semi-realism artstyle to tell a story. The way he uses colour is also an aspect that I want to dip my toes into as I usually paint in dark and very warm colours, bright colour pallete is one aspect that I want to take out of his work.
