In week 9 I continued working on one of the scenes that I started illustrating the week before. This week’s continuation involved colouring and creating panning camera movement to the scene. The result looked jagged which I was not happy with, so I ended up tweaking the same scene couple of times. Eventually, I added extra movements to the plants which are not really noticeable but surprisingly made the panning movement a little bit more organic.
This week I researched how to achieve a balance between negative space in a painting. Reason being that the balance achieved creates a recognisable style which I’m after. So, I decided to continue creating patterns and confidently placing expanses of negative space in my new illustrations.
Moving forward I need to start writing a sound design brief that includes a synopsis and sound mood board as well as the types of sound that I would want in the animation. I also need to stop going back to old scenes and working on them and need to continue thinking about a title for the work.
