After consultation with Matt on Tuesday, week2, I confused how to show my favorite style. I followed Matt’s advices and I watched a lot of cases in calarts animation. I am addicted to experimental animation. So I redrawn the storyboard in an experimental style, and I will talk about my statement.
-I use the located logo to represent the protagonist YU Tsun, which also represents the choice.
-Keep the image of the mirror in the text. The reason is that the mirror represents symmetry, and the article mentioned that the garden is symmetrical. Furthermore, mirrors can refract infinitely, representing the concept of infinite time.
-The circle represents the concept of infinity.
-"Choice" enters the round surface, arouses splashes, and finally the splashes are transformed into tickets, representing the result of the choice.
-The time when the train started in the text is retained, and the representative selection is also coincidental and random.
-The train represents the direction of development.
-The light at the end of the road turns into a cloud. The cloud stretches out a hand, which represents an obstacle to the development of things and also represent Captain Madden in the text.
-lantern is Albert's tool in the book, representing hope.
-The light that Lantern emits becomes "paths", which in the end means different choices have different endings. Time is unlimited, and the ending is unlimited.
-About why many images in animation are two, four, eight objects,
1. Because in Chinese philosophical theories, there is a theory of gossip, that is,
Taiji generates two complementary forces.
Two complementary forces generate four aggregates.
Four aggregates generate eight trigrams.
Eight trigrams determine myriads of phenomena.
Like Borges' philosophy in the text, it is infinite.
2. It is mentioned in the article that the garden with forking paths is symmetrical, so 2, 4, 8 objects can also show the concept of symmetry.
