Some thoughts on inquiry:

I tried to metaphorize the eyesight of the character through the change of animation color. The character's hearing loss due to age is expressed through background sound effects.

So my animation inquiry is:

How to express the hearing and vision of animated characters through picture and sound(I denied this in week 4)

Character design
I like to draw a rabbit with short ears in my daily life, which often makes my friends confused whether it is a rabbit, a cat or a pig. I did my research by finding character designs for rabbits on Pinterest. I find that long ears make the character more recognizable and allow more freedom in animation, such as shaking to increase the animation of the character.
some sketches
I prefer cute styles because it makes me feel more relaxed. So after trying several different rabbits I settled on the first one. In the process of exploration, I also decided on the image of the little rabbit that appeared in the middle of the story.
During the semester I was going to try out the rigging feature of Toon Boom Harmony, so I found a problem while designing the character's legs. I separated the head, hand and body parts and imagined the possibility of them moving after adding the pivot. However, it was found that the initial two feet could not naturally express the movement of the character through rotation. So I redesigned both feet and drew a dress to make each part more natural.

next work
Over the next week I'm going to finish my storyboard and do a shot analysis of the important scenes. Complete the color settings for the character. Learn the art of rigging animations.

In order to make it more intuitive for the audience to see that the rabbit is aging due to time, I plan to set my 2D animation as one shot to the end. But this is just a preliminary idea, maybe in some key places I want to make some rotating shots by frame by frame.
