Rationale
This project originated from some fantasy when I was a child. When I was a child, I was influenced by some movies and thought that umbrellas can sometimes be used as parachutes. However, when I tried to use an umbrella to jump from the 8th floor, I saw the news that a child broke his leg after jumping from the 3rd floor with an umbrella. This is probably my first disillusionment when I was a child.
Context
I mainly looked for some animation works using NPR rendering technology as a reference.
Your Name(2016) directed by Makoto Shinkai and produced by CoMix Wave Films
Neon Genesis Evangelion(1995) by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production
Methods
I will make this animation in a combination of 2D and 3D, using 3D to make the background, and 2D to draw the characters.
I will mainly use Maya or 3ds Max for the production of 3D objects, and Arnold or pencil+ as the renderer. At the same time use toon boom as a tool for making 2d animations. Use premiere pro to complete the final production.
