Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a role-playing game played from a third-person perspective. players can freely roam the open world, where they explore towns, villages, dungeons, and other dangerous places scattered throughout the world. Hisaishi and Ghibli cooperation make this game more outstanding. The screen of the game reminds me of many classic Miyazaki animations. This work informs us of the possibility to try to use the 3D model to achieve the effect of 2D animation.

Song of the Sea

Song of the Sea is an animated fantasy film, which talks about the story of a 10-year-old Irish boy named Ben and his mute sister Saoirse who finally went home after going through various adventures. This is a work that relies entirely on hand-painting, with soft lines and exotic lines. It stems from Irish folklore. Although the animation produced by the computer can no longer be replaced, I am still amazed by the images and music of this animation. This work informs us the using various software to achieve such hand-drawn effects may be more interesting than the uniform 3D animation in the previous article.
