- How can trial and error change our thinking on tackling an obstacle?
- I want to experiment with the concept of breaking reality such as a trippy experience. The player has to complete simple tasks but not with ease.
- This idea has been done in video games such as Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, and QWOP flash game (which is also by Bennet Foddy).
- Another prime example is when teaching younger kids something new such as teaching them how to walk, talk, and use a spoon. It takes much trial and error to figure out and reach the end.
- Concept different ways to complete simple objectives but with annoying hindrance. Examples such as:
- Have to drink coffee but you have to turn on the stove to pour the coffee into the cup properly
- Turn on the TV but the video on the TV is showing somewhere else.
- Make the player figure out and solve the puzzles by trial and error.
- The tools I will use to create this project are Unity, C# coding language and Blender for hard surface environment models.
- A finished prototype video game with 1 level and the player has to complete house chores but with a twist.
