Day 4
Keeping consulting with Kate.
Don’t make the game too formal/complicate, don’t get constrained by the details at the early stage. Trying to think about the interesting way of the interactive environment and gameplay.
We shouldn’t entirely focus on how the game move from one room to another room. It restrict us from thinking broadly.
The room shouldn’t be a real, it is just a platform where the game happens. Therefore, the room could be a lawn, a garden or even a fantasy space. Except that, We shouldn’t pay too much attention on the detail of the environment. Maybe I can create the rough environment first and think about how to make environment design interesting.
In stead of thinking too much about the plot, we should keep it as much simple as possible at the early stage.
General story: a character walks though 4 scenes, which exists in his past memory, trying to find a lost mask. He finds a piece of mask from every scene. In the last scene, he gets a complete mask and put it back.
As discussed on day 3, each scene should possess an idea. But I can think about that in the later week.
