Play&Self
Theme: In response to the theme of play and self, I used stop-motion animation to record a day of my life at home alone, because I live with my family, I have very little time alone, so this time, I wanted to make some small works that are relaxing and enjoyable, so I recorded some entertainment activities when I am alone. It's a little boring but relaxing.

Context: I was inspired by the soundtrack (Do Whatever - Cacien), a song by a freelance musician living in New York, the theme is you can be whoever, you can wear what you want, eat what you want, do what you want, u can be whoever. I wanted to record how I play when I'm alone without the distraction of cell phones and social media, so I made a stop-motion vlog to record this time. Self, so the music and lyrics in the film combined with the picture express the concept of be your self.I make a reference from youtube video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zbXyKvRvec)
This is a stop-motion piece about traveling in Europe, very creative and well combined with the music and lyrics. After I saw this work, I was more determined to use this background music to create. In my work, I only managed to combine it with the lyrics, and I hope that next time I can combine it with the rhythm of the song to make the work more melodic.

Reflection:
In this work, I used the stop-motion technique to make the work, in which I recorded my daily life. In this work, I reflected that there is a lot of fun in daily life, which can also be derived from the work. In this work, I also learned that it is not so important to fix the camera in a scene for a short period of time, and we can shoot a series of clips very quickly. In stop-motion animation, the fixed background and the moving subject are very important components, and often, the failure to fix the background or to connect the moving subject without any trace is the reason for the failure of stop-motion animation. So, in this animation, I did not fix a background, but shot randomly and used this way to make the video, which did make the video have a unique style. And in terms of workload, the stop-motion method is not much more than direct shooting, so I think the stop-motion method is a good choice for creative videos.In this experiment, I started to explore the word self, and I found that my daily life is the best interpretation of the word self, so I chose to make a record of my life. This will make the whole video more interesting and make people have the urge to watch it. Recently in the short video platform more popular vlog is also now the mainstream video way, people record their lives through the way of video, so that every day is so wonderful is a healthy performance. Secondly, stop-motion animation is also an area I have been very interested in, but due to the limitations of the scene and material, I have been unable to complete a more perfect stop-motion animation, before that, I have also tried to do a more exquisite character stop-motion animation, to make this one stop-motion animation with the character as the main body, but it did not work, later I chose a more simple theme, such as toy cars and I chose a simpler theme, such as toy cars and play-doh, which was much simpler to make, but lacked some ornamental qualities. So I took this opportunity to record my life, I have been looking for a more creative artistic approach to express this video, so I thought of stop-motion animation, combining the two together. In this production, in order to make the video look more creative, I also contacted a lot of different artistic techniques of shooting and video processing which is very helpful to me.In this assignment, I made the deepest reflection on myself, and after thinking about it, I found that my life is the same, without much spiritual story, so in this assignment, I also recorded the most interesting thing about my ordinary day to complete this work. The biggest inspiration for me in this theme is to live my day well in the future and make my day meaningful, instead of not being able to think of a suitable theme when I need to make a work with such a theme. And whenever I start to think about myself, I always get wrapped up in it, and then I go further and further into the divergent thinking, and I can't come back to the theme, I will pay attention to this problem next time.
