Dixit is a board game let players use one word to describe their card and others try to find the images that described.

Method

I designed a two-player game in which two people must work together to escape the secret room. One of the people's secret rooms is full of various items, and the other person's room has a box with keys. In order to open or touch this box, Player 1 requires Player 2 to find the appropriate item. In the process, they can't directly say the name of the item they need. They use symbols to communicate, and only one item can be delivered at a time. In this game, players need tacit cooperation.

Response

In the beginning, I wanted to make an animation to express this idea, but I found that the amount of work exceeded the expectations of the time. So I simplified the results and focused on the complete presentation of this idea. I imitated the rules book in the board game, designed a series of scenes, and quickly talked about the gameplay I envisioned.

At the same time, I think this idea has the potential to be designed as a party board game or an online multiplayer game. In the idea of multiplayer games, I imagine this can be a game with open play, and there are many keys that can be picked up. At the same time, in the original vision, I designed the players to gather in a messy room, each person can only choose one item to take to the next secret room, and then use these items to cooperate or create something new.
