My intended project uses collage techniques to create a children's storybook feel using the scientific illustrations of Ernst Haeckel.
I used the '200 Drawings' task as an opportunity to generate as many assets as I could from Haeckel's drawings. I not only isolated, colour-corrected and cleaned up the individual pieces, but I also composited them together to create various set pieces. These included a fairytale-style tree made using only mushroom stems and a snail shell; a foreboding turret; a distant hut surrounded by palm trees; and a rock pool with ferns and flowers.
From these assets, I can start to build my environments.
