APD - Week 9 - Play and Abstraction

In response to this theme, I made an abstract painting.

Method:
I made this drawing on iPad using the Procrate application. However, I did a long research on Abstract Paintings beforehand. I tried to understand the artists better.

Context:
While preparing for this week's content, the first thing came to my mind was Abstract Paintings. Mark Rothko is a very famous for his abstract paintings and he does his job really well. When you look at his pictures, you realize how successful he is. Although Rothko did not have any art training, he became one of the biggest in the business. Art is an expression of emotion. And abstract paintings are a great example of that. I wanted to show how the people around me shape me in the painting I made.

Reflection:
The biggest challenge was that it was my first time doing this kind of thing. Although I did a lot of work in 3D, I never had to express my emotions in this way.
