I inspired from my classmate, Jeehoon. This is his work in APD, I really like the idea that how you could potentially see both chaos and serenity with one event just through the idea of zooming in and out. So I tried to create a microworld inside of cat’s fur and normal world where the cat sleeping. With the camera cut and sound changing, audience can see two totally different world.

David OReilly’s (2014) - Mountain Steam game

We watched this video in class, this game give player lots of freedom, we can observe the island both very close and far away.

Response

While doing this practice, I use the camera cut to bridge two worlds. The result is really good. So I decide to use cut in the end of my animation in studio work, rather than zoom out slowly. This change can emphasizes the emotional impact of the film on the audience better.
