RATIONALE
How can I make a heart to die in a way that people feel it real?
Today I have been doing research and trying to clarify ideas.
After talking with Chris, I realized my idea had two different directions, and if I want to make the impact I have in mind, I need to organize it in a more realistic way, so I have been thinking in different ways to make the transition from life to death.

One of Kate's questions after the presentation was about the relation between the 3D object (human heart) and paper. So after thinking about it, the way I relate them is that every time someone hurts you, you start getting scars that make changes in your personality, in the way you relate with others, in the confidence of yourself..etc. Which mean that every part of that heart it's important and influence directly in you, which shows how fragile it is. The same happens with the papercut technique; paper it's such a fragile material, that this sculpture to resist, needed to be a part of a whole group.

CONTEXT
Looking for animations or videos where organs die I found some but not serious as I am planning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5rita8a9_E
But there are not many videos about it.
Even though I will plan the sound in studios, since the beginning, I have been looking for references, and this one was one of my favorites, Real human heart (min 5:18)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZNa_I4xBnk

One of the feedbacks yesterday after the presentation was to burn the heart at the end, which doesn't sound like a bad idea for the end. I found this example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OU6XQiMF8c That made me think of the second storyboard.
Fire explosion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1kr2cOn4Ys

Today I focused on different ideas and this one is a good reference in form and color
Flower dying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flg0CoirE2M

METHODS
I'm using photoshop for the storyboards.

OUTCOMES
Texture references + color storyboard

REFLECTION
I started this course with a clear idea of what I wanted to do, but it has been very difficult to find the best way to represent the damage of the heart. I have been more excited about exploring the Softwares brush and Blender than I haven't given enough of time for the whole idea, but because this project will be for Studio 3, I am enjoying the time.
