Nick Cave is an American artist mostly known for his sound suits which uses found objects, sculpture and fashion to blend them together to create “metaphorical suits of armor which serve as an alien second skin that obscures race, gender, and class, allowing viewers to look without bias towards the wearer’s identity.”, - https://art21.org/artist/nick-cave/

Nick Caves Thick Skin explores Nick’s creative workflow and how his personal struggles with his Identity helps him create.

I want to try to tap into something emotionally as well, so I thought about sticky notes because I get a lot of negative feelings from them because they mostly used to remind you of something that you have to work on, but I wanted to keep going with this concept of sticky notes.

I found this blog of called shoplet that found some post it notes art, my favourite is the post it tornado and one artist in particular named Matthew Chavez who created an art piece in New York city Union square station people could express their thoughts, griefs and hopes during the 2016 election.

I’m thinking of doing something in this medium of post it notes art, love to try to do something in Maya with MASH again, not sure still to brainstorm.

I wanted to use Maya in some way, and I also wanted to render something so I tried reflecting on my context and wanted to create a figure made entirely of stick it notes and I wanted to pose it in a way that would convey my feelings of sorrow when comes to reminding oneself of all the things you must do.

First, I used maya content browser and used a male figure model and then I created a skeleton and skinned the weights so I could pose it, then I exported the geometry into another maya file and began setting up lights and a background, I used MASH again to create thousands of little plane geometries all over the figure and rendered it in Arnold to see how it looked.
