Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

Aim:
Creating an illlusion that our eyes as the camera keeps travelling inside and down into the tunnel.

Method:
Creating a scene with cube that has a hole. The hole is where an instance of the cube can be put inside.

Making the the cube rotate and scale propotionally so the scale at all points of the rotation is identical to its next iteration. In other words, the little scene will scale up to match the big scene.

Reflection:
Like the previous test, the lighting setup might be difficult to tackle. Even though the seamless loops animation is accomplished with the first and last frame looking identical, the scaling of the object is what affect the lighting and making it look different in the renders.

In his feedback, Nick encourages me to explore further how the reflection of one source off camera can feed into the images within my rotating geometries. I think this is a brilliant direction that I didn’t think of initially. I will explore how the environment outside the cube can reflect on the mirror surface of the cube and see how it may create some interesting illusional and distort effect. Maybe the direction can change from placing more objects inside the cube, to modelling objects outside the cube/off camera view and still can achieve my project intention.
