I've got the flagging gameplay mechanic working now. The player can look at a square and flag it as a potential hazard, at which point they can no longer move into that square. The numbers show how many hazards are adjacent to the tile. If the player triggers a hazard they take damage and the hazard type is shown as a coloured tile, then the tile becomes safe to move through.
