Studio 1 - Week 7 Related Work

Evolution Simulator:

Evolution Simulator is an interactive version of Primer's "Simulating Natural Selection" video built by MinuteLabs.io In collaboration with  Primer. Primer's original video: https://youtu.be/0ZGbIKd0XrM It is an web-based interactive simulator of Evolution. There is an creature called blob which have 3 main features: speed, size and sense. Those feautures influenced their survival abilities and will change a litte bit after each generation. The player can change many parameters to control the evolution process such as number of food in total, amount of change in genes, speed and length of simulation, etc. It also have a great graph system that can make the player understand the data directly, is very impressive. But what impressed me the most is the equation of energy consumption, which I also have one in my project. He considered about how the animals moved in the real world and make a very suitable equation, where my equation is very simple but not so realistic. I have many different equations like this in my project and I didn't pay much time on thinking if it is suitable or not. In fact, I spend more time to try to make the equations more efficient. I realised that a suitable equation may make the simulation more realistic easily after play with this simulator and watched the videos. I will try to modificate my equations.
