4 questions

Project 2d animated short (single action scene/ dynamic animatic)

1.Why are you doing it?

Explore and develop a sense of style, direction, composition and dynamic movement.

I want to push extreme art styles which complement exaggerated motion and interesting / bizarre camera angles / framing

2.  Who else is doing it?

Tarzan - glen keane movement

Various manga/anime camera shots and composition

Cowboy Bebop movie - Anatomy of a fight scene

Akira Opening city shots - Cell Layers, emersion through camera zooms and pans

Fighting game movement (lots of smears, exaggerated movement)

Guilty Gear games

Arc System works camera movement in their "Super move" cutscenes

3. Method? (iterative loops and reflection)

Push the dynamic nature of my drawing and animation (exaggerated limbs, break the body)

Have a high watermark of dynamic camera angles and direction (little to no static imagery unless the shot calls for it or use the static image to break the intensity of the dynamic compositions.

The direction must be interesting visually - enhance the characters personality through body language and pose. The film will have no dialogue so visual language is key.

4. How will you make it work?

Procreate, After effects, animate, Photoshop, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender, Premiere pro.

Mixture of traditional and rigged (contemporary animation)

Sketch , concept develop (procreate) some animation
