Current Ideas: 

-A series of short animated works in 2D, 3D, stop motion, 2D puppetry and a basic interactive game, each capturing the sensation of flying in different ways.

- Assets for a simple platformer unity game to be built in assessment 2, these assets would include multiple types of 2D and 3D works, to give myself a sense of how I should develope the games aesthetic. 

Rationale:

In 2019, working for Adam Walker Film, I was surrounded by talented animators who could program, build, rig, act, foley, code, and work in dozens of programs confidently, and got a real sense of how much I don't know surrounding my own field, I want to be able to apply for these kinds of jobs and work with this kind of confidence. 
I want to be able to make informed future decisions about the medium that will best suit each of my future projects, and not be scared away or unconsciously discouraged due to a lack of confidence in my abilities. 

Context: 

While I ultimately would like to peruse a career in 2D animation, and build and add to its cannon, I want to explore as much of the 3D and stop motion landscape as possible during my study here. 2D and 3D, are growing closer together as software developes and lessons learned in one are applicable to the other, from weight transferance to node editing. 

Method:

I will work playfully to make work that makes me each week. I will sit down with myself, my coordinator, my friends and other students and decide which elements of those works to pursue further. I will push myself to play in environments I'm not familiar with, once I have taught myself their basics.
