Like it or not this is the submission state for my Studio 1 project. I feel like I got half way to where I really wanted to be. My agents are propagating opinions about each other and about locations in the game world. We can see them have conversations, the speech bubbles are representations of that. The locations they talk about pop up in the game world as pins which can be toggled on and off.

When they pass information between each other there is a chance they will change some of it when telling the story and when hearing it.

The info UI which pops up when selecting an agent displays the stories that agent is carrying on the left, the other agents they can see around them on the top right and all the agent's information on the bottom right.

It's missing two things I wanted to try to create; story based behaviours wherein agents change their behaviour according to what they know about another agent or about a location in the world; and player interaction with stories. I would have liked to have created levels in which the player must complete tasks by seeding stories to the agents, like "have 50% of agents inside one area" or have 20% of agents strongly dislike (-10) a single agent.
