AIm:
I want to explore the concept of collision and the effects of shapes warping into different forms.
Method:
I used simple shapes in Animate to experiment. I wanted the shapes to feel like they were constantly in motion.
Experiment 1:
I wanted to create a Ripple effect but add in a "disturbance" to see what it would look like. This felt most alike to rhythm and I felt a slight sense of disatisfaction when the circle changed to a square only to change back to a circle with little to no reasoning.
Experiment 2:
I wanted to see the effects of ripples colliding to create a new shape. Though I wonder what would happen if the squares colliding should turn the shapes back into circles and so forth and how that would look.
Experiment 3:
I wanted to see the effects of a shape in motion but also warping into another shape.
Discussion:
These experiments allow me to see what the action/reaction would look like. I'm curious to see if something like the ripple affect could be used during a button input sequence and how "messy" that could look. I'm also curious to see if completing a certain amount of button inputs could also potentially change the form of the shape causing the picture to become even messier.
