This week I'm focusing on my studio 3 animation production. In the first few shots of my story, my protagonist fish swims in a large fish tank. At the same time, many other fish are swimming too. So it’s hard to tell which one is the main fish.
My IOL theme this week will be about the opposition between overall and specific. In the overall video, 151 fishes swim together, and it is impossible to distinguish where the protagonist fish is and what’s its actions. And in the specific video, the protagonist fish is coughing. In the combined video, after the protagonist fish sneezes, other fish start to avoid him and stay away from him, so he is particularly obvious.
The usage of the camera angle is important too. In the final version of the animation, the zoom-in shot of the main fish and the overall shot from the side/ top will be switched and show the specific and overall views.
