I spend the break making my fish and trying to find a quicker way to render. And I spend a long time on how to make water, this is the outcomes, tests in Maya, and the render results. Instead of making water with simulation, I tried different ways. I watched a lot of tutorials on Youtube talking about making water in Maya, and how they all got to end up with the water simulation or just image rendering, and none of them related to my work. So I decided to model the volume of the water and its texture it water looks. I used blende shape to achieve the waving on the surface of the water, which makes me can animate it. I wish to keep the looks of what water simulation brings that the reflection in the water. So after testing different materials, I still decided to use Arnold as my renderer. It will take a long time but it still giving me the best outcomes.
