Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

This week's experiment task was to choose 3-5 different movements of your own body and animate them using simple forms. I chose "Shiver", "Shrink" and "Startle". I set up a small scene in Unity, wrote a script to procedurally generate some cubes and then assigned a mood to each cube which would trigger a corresponding animation in the player agent.

Video 1: Setting up the procedural generation.

Video 2: Animations and triggers. Had a strange problem with the "Startle" animation which would break the navagent component so I had to switch it off.

Video 3: Shrink and shiver.

This experiment gave me some ideas about making a central mood controller which could adjust lighting, audio, camera control, and other elements depending on the mood conveyed by the procedurally generated scene.
