Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

Abstract

Within the past few years, Virtual Reality (VR) devices, such as the HTC VIVE, have been increasingly used in games, which can provide players an immersive experience. To facilitate interactivity in VR, multiple functions have been created, one of them being gestures. Outside VR, gestures are a proven alternative for interacting with computers and other smart devices. Gesture application in VR games, is still to be explored.

A series of demos will be created and through the creations hopefully some potential ways of using gestures in VR game can be found. The experiments will be conducted using the HTC VIVE and Unity engine. The results could provide some possible solutions or new ways of interactivity for VR game development such as RPG games.
