Define

I am working on Developing 3D VR Game assets to help another student game project. My contribution to this project is I am doing level designing and developing assets and props which will be ready to use in an game engine like Unreal 4 engine. My intend to make this game is to explore the Virtual reality platform and learn how Unreal 4 game engine works. The idea is, world simulation game using VR in UE4 engine. In the game  player is adventuring through a imaginary world, they have to explore the world to understand the game play. The game will encouraging the players for real world adventures and exploration via game play and world building experience. The game is based on different machine mechanisms and systems that will express the ideas of world building, repairing things and solving puzzles.

The reason for doing this work is I want to express my 3D skills in  game assets and level designing and test whether or not I can work with other game programmers to develop my or their concepts. My partner in this project has experience in making VR games and he has worked on a VR game in his last semester. This collaborative work will exhibit my capabilities as 3D Artist and  I am working on my partners concept of the game and helping him in designing 3D Models for the game. Our work will be different from existing work because it is using the VR technics which makes player feel more realistic.

Ideate

The game is based in the fantasy world where the world is a machine and as a player you are the part of this machine world. The machine mechanism is broken and the world on verge of slow death via series or malfunctions and energy failures. You as a player have to repair these broken machines because your life as a part of this world depends on these machines. The machines are life support of this world. These machine creates a sustainable environment so the life form of this world and sustain. There are different machines which helps in different causes for example maintaining life balance in this world by generating suitable environment like oxygen for sustainable, energy for this world creatures and the world to function to keep the world in shape.

The game world is divided into multiple stages or levels like a small piece of a big puzzle. The players progression through levels as he/she solves these puzzle revels the the big picture of this world map by bits and pieces. These small chunk of map creates the whole world as a map like the player is solving a big puzzle.
