Context

My 3 rules are:

1. Draw with your non-dominate hand

2. Air is visible, we can see and touch

3. Dead

This is the most special lesson this semester because we have our own topic. We have to work with 3 restrictions, which also can make intense chemistry.

Method

I'll make an animation with my left hand in tvpaint.

Reflection

When I got this topic, I was very worried because I can't draw with my left hand and the lines I painted were quite twisty, so initially, I was going to use after effect to make the animation. Whereas I think that messy line is also an art style. If I use ae and avoid the first rule, then it will be meaningless. 

I only have two rules about the content of the animation. First I need to make the air visible. If I only use the visible air as the background, I will waste this rule. So I used a balloon to interact with the air, and finally let the balloon explode, which means it dead at the end. The effect of the final animation is not as bad as imagined, giving a feeling of doodle.

Response

This attempt is successful which links three rules under limited conditions. I'm glad I didn't waste these rules and came up with ideas to make them not only limitation but also the basis of this animation. I think we can create good stories in this way and stimulate the author's imagination, much like the animatic narrative we had last semester.
