In response to this week's theme, Time, I used Boomerang on Instagram, to create a motion loop gif.

By recording different clips with Boomerang, I created different motions of three objects. Boomerang first plays the clip forward and then reverses the clip. I collected a several clips and tried to put them together as a looping piece, looping both in time and motion. It starts out with the hand throwing the ball to the wall, the ball bouncing off the wall and hitting the bottle, the bottle firing off the slinky, then the slinky spitting out a ball, which is caught by the hand and the clip loops back to the beginning.

Similar work ideas are interpreted in karenxcheng’s shorts, such as https://www.youtube.com/shorts/T9Js_JmyekU. Karen is good at using low budget equipments to create interesting short content. She combines different techniques, including reverse, speed clip and slow motions. My time project this week is inspired by her works. I used forward and reverse motions to link different clips. I tried to use the repetitive motions of different objects to draw attention, focusing on the direction of the objects moving towards to, and then looping back and forth.
