CPS-Week03-Found objects

In response to the theme of found objects, I painted a gold egg ants house by using software SAI. It used to be a container for face cream, it's used up now, but I keep it because it looks good. I wanted to redesign it, make it more interesting and create a narrative for it. I originally wanted to cut and paste, but later I found it more enjoyable to use two very different drawing methods for contrast.
By combining realistic and cartoon drawing, it expresses that ordinary objects in reality can also become vivid.
Similar work has been produced by Bernard Williams, whose work “Bird” explored an abstract Idea of bird and made it a sculpture.
