CPS-Week#9-Force

In response to the theme of Forces and Constraints, I drew several line drawings about plants and animals using photoshop.

I created 3 rules for me  which are:

-Only lines
-The object is only black or white
-Objects are plants or animals

By drawing these traditional Chinese line drawings, I want to practice using lines to express the volume of objects rather than through colors. In fact, it is not just traditional Chinese paintings that like to express the volume of objects with lines. Many Western painters like Holbein, Dürer, etc. also reflect this feature in their sketches. Therefore, I chose to try to use digital painting to imitate the white drawing.

Similar work has been produced by Zoe Zhang, whose work "Gongbi" explores this theme by drawing line drawing.
