Theme

Theory of Relativity, a relation of time and space.

Context

Tinkering - I was researching and reading a lot about this subject and wanted to somehow show it in a very basic and understandable manner. Started sketching and deriving context from basic formulas like,

Speed = Distance / Time

Knowing that I have a very basic knowledge about the Adobe Animate, i decided to use it to demostrate my activity for this week's subject.

Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity -

Albert Einstein believed that the time has its own physical dimension which is also known as space time. His theory  (E = mc^2) conveyed that time stretches and contracts varying with velocity (speed).

This relativity theory intrigued me to show it in a simple animation for week 8 assignment, on how a person outside a moving object (train) observes the object to be faster than the person inside the train. In a broader perspective the faster you move through space the slower you will move through time. The person inside the train is observing the movement of the person outside the train to be slowing down relative to the train's speed. Thus, by nature of relative concept time is creating its own physical dimension, where two observers are experiencing the time differently.

Method

I used stick animation as a medium to perform this task. My method was to tinker with Adobe Animation and practice more to improve my skills.

Response

I am happy and quite satisfied with my work knowing that this is my first attempt to make a proper animated gif. I used a very basic situation to explain time as a material concept. I really wish I should have shown Einstein's character inside the train, but after completing the whole animation, it was too late to do it.

Many thanks to my classmate and friend Ben Mansur, who helped me with the walkthrough of the software and also showed how to properly utilize Adobe Animate due to which I am improving in animation as compared to my previous work.
